This article focuses on the problem of Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) with particular emphasis on the problem of communication between humans and robots. In this perspective, we can talk about Human-Robot Communication (HRC) as a part of HRI. To allow a human and a so called "social robot" to work as partners, it is necessary to develop suitable spoken dialogue systems. In this work, after an overview about social robots, we will face the problem of Human-Robot Communication and the different possible dialogue management techniques.
