This short essay is an invitation to reflect on the meaning and on the importance of the com-bination between the Crown of Aragon and the Sardinia in the Mediterranean world of the fourteenth century. An approach to second reading of themes and key issues of Catalan-Aragonese historiography that opens new horizons of interpretation in the background of low medieval Mediterranean area.
