Landslide susceptibility (LS) and hazard assessment is a topic of interest in many areas around the world for both geologists and policy makers. A consistent susceptibility map can be used for planning purposes, development and urbanization of the environment and to inform citizens about socio-economical impacts of landslides. In France, the hazard analysis and zoning of the regulated "Plan de Prévention des Risques de mouvements de terrain" is at 1:10,000 scale according to a qualitative expert investigation [1]. A terrain subdivision into appropriate mapping units is a pre-requisite for a successful LS zonation. Choosing the most representative delineation of the sub-catchments' morphometry according to an appropriate scale is challenging but mandatory for a robust and high precision analysis of the LS maps.
