Il DNS .it: la "qualità" prima di tutto

Network administrators and providers of connectivity have never been interested in analyzing the details of the DNS service from a qualitative point of view, which in its role as utility is a basic service that does not generate any profit for the provider. Despite this lack of interest, the Registry has embarked on a monitoring service, with the aim of creating an integrated system that can highlight anomalies or misuse in terms of service delivery. The idea is to consider the DNS from a higher point of view, given the position of the Registry within the iterative process of name resolution.

Considerato lo scarso interesse finora riscontrato nell'analisi del DNS, il Registro ha avviato un progetto di monitoraggio del servizio di registrazione dei nomi a dominio in modo da col mare questa lacuna. L'obiettivo di questo progetto è di creare un sistema integrato capace non solo di evidenziare anomalie di erogazione o utilizzo improprio del servizio DNS, ma di vedere quest'ultimo da un altro punto di vista che vada oltre la fornitura del servizio di risoluzione dei nomi a dominio.
