A preliminary study about the dose receveid by the patient during CAT tests

This work is still preliminary and our purpose is to enlarge it by means of other sets for CT and other kinds of tests. The dose given away to the patient, has been over-evaluated in the past, since, as is has been checked, CT provides dosimetric data that are quite lower than those pertinent to a widely used test like IVP. there is a scrce difference between 2nd generation sets and fast sets; taking into account the remarkable diagnostic gain, provided by these latter ones, this little difference tuns out to be quite accetable in an evaluation cost-benefit of the radiation protection of patient.
