The present report describes the measurements carried out on two treatment heads manufactured by BAC Srl for the ultrasonic equipment for physiotherapy/aesthetic treatments "SIRIO". The scope is to characterize the ultrasound beam generated by the two transducers. The measurements were realized in the Underwater Acoustics Laboratory of the Institute of Acoustics and Sensors "O. M. Corbino" of the Italian National Research Council (CNR-IDASC). The measurements were commissioned by the manufacturer, BAC Srl, Figline Valdarno, Florence, Italy.The report deals with the hydrophone measurements requested for the two treatment heads of the SIRIO equipment, both operating at the frequency 38 kHz:1. Analysis of the frequency response and determination of the acoustic working frequency f;2. Characterization of the acoustic pressure field along the central axis of the transducer, Z axis;3. Characterization of the ultrasonic beam in a number of planes, parallel to the transducer's surface, XY planes at specific distances;4. Determination of the beam cross-sectional area ABCS and evaluation of the effective radiating area AER;5. Evaluation of the Spatial/Peak Time/Average Intensity, Ispta:6. Evaluation of the beam non-uniformity ratio, RBN;7. Determination of the beam type.
