A planar annular Ge detector has been entirely designed and realised at the laboratory LANDIS of LNS-INFN (Catania) in collaboration with Eurisys Laboratories (France). The external and internal diameters of the detector are respectively 50 and 15 mm. The detector works coupled to a 1 mCi 241Am source, and due to the compact and reproductive geometry, it is particularly suited for the absolute value determination of metallic alloys composition within the XRF technique. The annular Ge detector has been used to study the elemental composition of a binary metallic alloy of Pb and Sn. The results of the quantitative analysis of XRF experimental data have been compared with a standards chemical analysis. A wide application is in progress to characterise a series of organ pipe of different churches in Sicily.

Abstract
A wide application is in progress to characterise a series of organ pipe of different churches in Sicily.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
