Metaphora Translata Voce. Prospettive metaforiche nella filosofia di Leibniz.

In this first systematic investigation of the German philosopher's metaphoric discourse, what is primarily described and analysed is the role of five metaphors: ocean, path, mirror, labyrinth, and scale. The «metaphoric perspective» taken by the author highlights the constitutive role of these metaphors and shows how the different areas of knowledge and the major concepts of Leibnizian thought are interrelated and organized in a multi-perspective view of the world.

In questa prima indagine sistematica del discorso metaforico negli scritti del filosofo tedesco, viene in particolare descritto e analizzato il ruolo di cinque metafore: oceano, via, specchio, labirinto e bilancia. La «prospettiva metaforica» assunta nello studio mette in luce il ruolo costitutivo di queste metafore e mostra come i diversi campi del sapere e i concetti principali del pensiero leibniziano siano interrelati e organizzati in una visione multiprospettica del mondo e della conoscenza.
