The grid past the hull and the appendages will be generated by means of standard grid generators. Volume grid will exploit the Chimera-type topology capability (overlapped domains) already available in the INSEAN RANS code. The grid topology will be chosen in order to match the requirements of the numerical algorithms, i.e. grid clustering will be determined by the thickness of the boundary layer on the solid surfaces. The global structure of the grid will be determined by the location of the wakes behind the appendages.
