The purpose of this work is the study of the wear resistance of AlSiTIN and AlSiCrN nanocomposite PVD coating deposited onto H11 and ion nitrided H11. The first part of the work was focused on a preliminary characterization of the coated samples supplied by partners (substrates from MIASA e 2A; coating from Envipark), allowing to understand the main materials features such as hardness, adhesion and abrasion wear resistance. Main results have been the object of a previous report. Last part of the project belongs with tribological tests against aluminium at high temperature, with the aim to simulate the real application (aluminium pressure dye casting). SEM analysis was effected after the tests to evaluate the wear mechanisms.

Abstract
SEM analysis was effected after the tests to evaluate the wear mechanisms.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
