The MedMySpace Project has these specific objectives: 1. to improve and coordinate the assessment, measurement, certification, monitoring and management systems of natural resources, paying particular attention to sea resources in consideration of their high level of fragility; 2. to develop common standards and promote the application of European and international standards in public policies, harmonizing data, information and intervention strategies at the transnational scale; 3. to promote and protect the natural resources and heritage of the fragile areas (in particular coasts) and their resources in a logic of integrated territorial development and sustainable tourism through the active involvement of economic stakeholders; 4. to promote biodiversity through the protection and enhancement of sea resources; 5. to support the implementation of integrated management strategies for coastal areas; 6. to promote transnational initiatives aimed at improving information systems and awareness-raising with regards to risks on natural heritage and seascapes.
