Scope of this task is the design and preparation of the system for dumping the steered mmwave beam out of the RS waveguide during the measurements of the transmission line mock-up at 140 Ghz, and for calorimetric measurements of the power in the output beam. In this work: a. the mm-wave load apt for beam dumping and calorimetry is described. b. Modifications to the present load support for allowing the movement around an adjustable vertical axis with precise and stable mechanism are described. c. The position with respect to the waveguide end together with the parameters for the design of the dispersing mirror are given. d. The compatibility between load requirements (overall dimensions, weight, cooling water) and on-site availability is verified: e. The calorimetric measuring system is described. f. Alignment and measurement procedures are outlined. g. A short summary of the calorimetric measurements performed during the waveguide tests are reported. Points a. to f. represent the essential parts of the deliverable (d)4.1. Point g. is the object of a different task, and its described in much more detail in the Final Report of the deliverables (d).1, (d).2, (d).3, (d).4.
