In recent years trend data collected from consecutive European crosssectional surveys have shown a general increase in cannabis use prevalence particularly among younger generation. Although consumption patterns often remain experimental or occasional and, compared to other drugs, the effects of cannabis appear to be less harmful , a fraction of users may experience different problems and adverse consequences on health or on social relationships.
