Dissemination is the title of Work Package 5 which aims to raise awareness as widely as possible on the experience and results of MERCYMS project. Dissemination is an important part of the project because it represents the way to extend knowledge on current investigation, to promote cross-fertilisation and to extract the maximum of revenues from the public funds invested. To reach this objective a dissemination workplan was designed into 7 deliverables:- D5.1 Internet site providing information on the project development and progress. On the internet site will be available technical reports, databases and models.- D5.2 Policy Advisory Board (PAB).- D5.3 Informative user-oriented material (brochure, CD-ROMs with demos, etc.) during the progress of the project.- D5.4 Seminars for users and workshops.- D5.5 CD-ROMs with data sets, modeling tools, Annual and Final Technical Reports.- D5.6 Technological Implementation Plan (TIP).- D5.7 Final Report on WP-5.Main objectives of dissemination along the development of the project were:- to raise knowledge on the project (i.e. Consortium members, workplan, methodologies, results);- to contribute to the exchange of information (i.e digital library of reports, studies and scientific papers, database of regional cases).All partners have been involved in dissemination activities during this period, contributing by several means as listed below and at different community levels: home institutions, national and international professional communities.
