Aim of the project is the study of FAD Fisheries in Thracian Sea, in Gulf of Messinia and in Southern Sicily. The research project aims in the collection of data that will describe and evaluate this way of fishery, comparing at the same time the results from the three different regions of the Mediterranean. The import of this new (in Thracian Sea) method of fishery contributes to the reduction of the fishing effort in target species that are overfished, or that their continuously increasing production reduces the price of the product.
