Marine sediments are very important for the environment as they have a fundamental role in the trophic state balance of waters. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the toxicity degree in sediments samples from Mar Piccolo in Taranto, Italy, in order to obtain the first results on the environmental quality of such a site, using the system MictotoxR, an acute toxicity text based upon bioluminescence inhibition of the marine bacterium Vibrio fischeri NRRL B-11177.

Abstract
Marine sediments are very important for the environment as they have a fundamental role in the trophic state balance of waters. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the toxicity degree in sediments samples from Mar Piccolo in Taranto, Italy, in order to obtain the first results on the environmental quality of such a site, using the system MictotoxR, an acute toxicity text based upon bioluminescence inhibition of the marine bacterium Vibrio fischeri NRRL B-11177.File in questo prodotto:
