A mathematical and numerical method for the propagation of 3D-steep wave is proposed. The method, based on the pseudo-spectral technique, is validated against the numerical and experimental results available in literature as well as using the experimental data of an ad hoc experimental campaign carried out in the INSEAN wave basin.
