Abstract This technical report concerns the work elements WE 2-3a, WE 2-3.b and WE 3.1 within the WEAO EUCLID RTP 10.17 project "Submarine Motions in Confined Waters" Towing tank model tests in open water conditions, close to bottom, during a step-wise change of the bottom clearance, and close to the free surface, are discussed. The experimental set-up is outlined in its major features, the test results are compared with the BASSIN rotating arm model tests in open water and close to free surface conditions
