The present report is edited in the framework of the SIMMAN 2008 Workshop on Verification and Validation of Ship Maneuvering Simulation Methods. The purpose of the workshop is to benchmark the capabilities of different ship maneuvering simulation methods including systems and CFD based methods through comparisons with the results for tanker, container ship and surface combatant hull form test cases. Systems based methods will be compared with free-model test data using provided PMM and CMT (circular motion mechanism/rotating-arm) data, whereas CFD based methods will be compared with both PMM/CMT and free-model test data. The physical model tests either have been or will be conducted by various participating towing tanks and institutes including MOERI (Korea), NMRI (Japan), INSEAN (Italy), HSVA and SVA (Germany), BEC (France), CEHIPAR (Spain), MARIN (Holland), BSHC (Bulgaria), IIHR (USA) and FORCE Technology (Denmark). In this report, results on KVLCC1 (INSEAN model 2486) and KVLCC2 (INSEAN model 2487) will be presented for deep, shallow and very shallow water.

Abstract
In this report, results on KVLCC1 (INSEAN model 2486) and KVLCC2 (INSEAN model 2487) will be presented for deep, shallow and very shallow water.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
