The aim of this task is the validation of the numerical models developed in the 6DOF-RANSE PROJECT. Where possible, the data collected from the experimental activity of this project of research will be used for the comparisons with the numerical results. In particular after a brief recall of the main geometric properties of the hull selected, a detailed validation activity of the 2D domain decomposition strategy developed will be performed. For this one the experimental data collected will be used. Then the experimental data related to the unsteady wave pattern around the hull in roll motion will be presented and the preliminary comparisons with a BEM model will be discussed. These latter data could represent a suitable data base for the validation of the Unsteady RANSE model where the free surface deformation is taken into account.

Abstract
The aim of this task is the validation of the numerical models developed in the 6DOF-RANSE PROJECT. Where possible, the data collected from the experimental activity of this project of research will be used for the comparisons with the numerical results. In particular after a brief recall of the main geometric properties of the hull selected, a detailed validation activity of the 2D domain decomposition strategy developed will be performed. For this one the experimental data collected will be used. Then the experimental data related to the unsteady wave pattern around the hull in roll motion will be presented and the preliminary comparisons with a BEM model will be discussed. These latter data could represent a suitable data base for the validation of the Unsteady RANSE model where the free surface deformation is taken into account.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
