This document is written in fulfilment of the activities concerning with the Research Project 'ACADEMIA', funded by Italian 'Ministero dell'Istruzione, dell' Università e della Ricerca' MIUR. It shows the main aspects of the Finite Element Method (FEM) used to study the aeroelastic behaviour of Smart helicopter main rotors in hovering. Moreover, an user manual of the numerical code used for aeroelastic computations is provided. This report represents the 'ACADEMIA' Project Deliverable WP-9017.
