In the first six-months period experimental systems to study the vaporisation/combustion in high-pressure condition of BFO droplets and spray formation in engine-like conditions have been developed. This according to the activities foreseen in Tasks 5 (Fundamental behaviour of BFO in combustion) and Task 7 (Engine tests), respectively.
