The phenomenon of water on deck is still open for research even if considerable efforts have been made to make available numerical tools for the understanding of the mechanisms involved and the estimate of the degree of dangerousness and damage that the latter can determine for the marine vehicle. The problem associated with it can be simplified in the different phases, many and of different nature, which characterize it. Here a numerical methodology is presented that can be used, as for the study of these phases, since, subjected to different analytical-numerical-experimental comparisons, it is proved potentially valid for this purpose.
