The phenomenon of water exit is relatively poorly studied and known. The works dedicated to it are in small numbers and concern simplified geometries and kinematic conditions. So far there are no studies in particular of three-dimensional type. The effort of research to investigate this phenomenon is still growing, given its dangerousness in terms of comfort, operativity and vehicle safety. On the basis of an appropriate literature search, here a two-dimensional model representative of the water exit is presented. For such a model a method of solution is proposed and some numerical results are presented. Experimental tests related to the problem have been carried out in INSEAN and are under analysis.
