The following document reports about our studies on usability and accessibility in the context ofmobile computing. The main idea is to review the general widely adopted usability andaccessibility principles and see how these map into this new context. A review of principles andempirical data coming from other projects is provided. Then, follows a controlled usability studyconducted to explore the use of mobile technologies by visually impaired people. Finally, a seriesof indications and lessons learned is offered as result.
