Aim of the present report is the definition of the 3D hydrodynamic models able to investigate the wave-ship violent interactions This report documents the numerical investigation of the seakeeping problem of a marine vehicle when: a) the interaction wave-structure takes place and is responsible for nonlinear effects; b) local and transitory events happens as: water shipping on the deck, water entry and exit of portion of the hull in and from the sea surface; c) the elastic behaviour of the structure is important; and other source of loads.

Scopo del presente rapporto e' la definizione dei modelli matematici e numerici 3D idrodinamici per lo studio del problema della tenuta al mare in regime debolmente non lineare.

Abstract

Aim of the present report is the definition of the 3D hydrodynamic models able to investigate the wave-ship violent interactions This report documents the numerical investigation of the seakeeping problem of a marine vehicle when: a) the interaction wave-structure takes place and is responsible for nonlinear effects; b) local and transitory events happens as: water shipping on the deck, water entry and exit of portion of the hull in and from the sea surface; c) the elastic behaviour of the structure is important; and other source of loads.
