A biomonitoring programme involving the ectomycorrhizal community and the ant assemblage was carried out in Quercus suber L. stands of Sardinia and Morocco over a two year period. Its aim was to obtain information about the belowground ectomycorrhizal fungal community and the composition of ground-dwelling ants (number and abundance of species) in declining Q. suber stands. In the cork oak stands of Mamora (Morocco) 18 species of ants were collected. In Sardinia a total of 25 species were collected in the same period and using the same sampling method. The project was funded as a part on the agreement on Scientific collaboration between CNRST - Centre National pour la Recherche Scientifique et Technique (Morocco) and National Research Council of Italy.

Abstract
A biomonitoring programme involving the ectomycorrhizal community and the ant assemblage was carried out in Quercus suber L. stands of Sardinia and Morocco over a two year period. Its aim was to obtain information about the belowground ectomycorrhizal fungal community and the composition of ground-dwelling ants (number and abundance of species) in declining Q. suber stands. In the cork oak stands of Mamora (Morocco) 18 species of ants were collected. In Sardinia a total of 25 species were collected in the same period and using the same sampling method. The project was funded as a part on the agreement on Scientific collaboration between CNRST - Centre National pour la Recherche Scientifique et Technique (Morocco) and National Research Council of Italy.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
