WP3 is dedicated to coupling of SPH solutions of fluid dynamics, rigid body motion and elastic mechanics, benefiting from the capability of SPH to intrinsically model multi-mechanics applications, and from the Lagrangian, meshless, explicit nature of this method. The target applications involve fluid-structure interactions (FSI) in various forms. The objective of WP3 is to assess the capability of the SPH solver to deal with coupled solids and fluids. WP3 is structured in tasks that validate step by step project developments. The comparison to standard CFD will be reported in deliverable D1-2-3.0 through the form of a performance matrix.
