This document deals with the description of the WP2 014 R&D activities on the heterogeneous joint between copper and stainless steel. This activity was started in previous F4E GRT-032, 313, WP 2012 & WP2013 and it is intended to reduce the risks connected to the junction manufacturing of MITICA components and in particular it is aimed to the manufacturing of the Beam Source components. An R&D has been carried out with the collaboration of an external supplier utilising the Electron Beam Welding (EBW) as the joining technology. The general purpose of this document is to report the outcome the activity.
