This document describes purpose, methodology and outcomes of the activity 5.4 within the PON "Smart Health 2.0". Main purpose of the activity was analyzing medical terminology in order to highlight critical issues faced by general practitioners in writing prescription documents by using the main standardized coding systems. The results obtained in this activity will support the definition of a standardized terminology for managing specialist domain lexicon, while forming the basis for the construction of specific multilingual and multi-register thesauri, which are addressed in the activity 10.4 (Construction of specific multilingual and multi-register thesauri for standardized representation and access to domain knowledge) of the OR10 (Governance of healthcare processes).
