The papers in this volume represent some of the most recent and exciting work being carried out both within the framework of Generative Lexicon and related approaches to the lexicon and lexical resources. With the recent emphasis in natural language processing on the development of machine learning algorithms, it has become even more important for computational linguists to work on the development of linguistically informed lexical resources, for use in the annotation of corpora and creation of gold standard data for training, as well as the collation of larger theoretical datasets for investigating linguistic phenomena in greater detail and sophistication. These works contribute to this trend as well as to the further development of the mechanisms within GL for describing and explaining semantic and lexical phenomena in language

Abstract
The papers in this volume represent some of the most recent and exciting work being carried out both within the framework of Generative Lexicon and related approaches to the lexicon and lexical resources. With the recent emphasis in natural language processing on the development of machine learning algorithms, it has become even more important for computational linguists to work on the development of linguistically informed lexical resources, for use in the annotation of corpora and creation of gold standard data for training, as well as the collation of larger theoretical datasets for investigating linguistic phenomena in greater detail and sophistication. These works contribute to this trend as well as to the further development of the mechanisms within GL for describing and explaining semantic and lexical phenomena in languageI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
