The main objective of this work is conceptual and methodological, treating the deep meaning of the original entropy concept, and proposing a unifying entropy formulation yielding a new insight to different entropy definitions. This unifying original formulation - A entropy - is given in terms of relative variation of a function, holding the original concept of entropy. The proposed extended parameterized formulation includes all the basic stated formulations, both in physics and in information theory, starting from the main insight that the original meaning of the entropy yields, that is the internal variation of a system and the related equilibrium concept. After the introduction to the concepts leading to the work, the new proposed formulation is described in detail. This approach reaches a result in formation theory, the formulation of a new generalized entropy Some practical examples are given in the rest of the paper. A program in R language describes it's properties.
