A software package, ESMS, use of Entropy for the Study of Multistate Systems, has been developed for the multistate analysis purpose. The approach used for the study of the states consist of the use of methods of classification provided by the machine learnig algorithms. The contitional entropy is the mathematical tool here used for evaluating the goodness of classifications. In order to reach this aim a software package has been developed in MATLAB language.
