The present technical report describes the activity performed in "Lotto C, Sublotto C.2" of the research project "Sirena-PROP". The activity is finalised to the hydroacoustic modelling of a marine propeller operating behind a ship hull. Theoretical and computational models used in the study are outlined and results of numerical applications are discussed. Calculations address a hull-propeller configuration selected as reference test case throughout the project. In particular, different hydroacoustic models applied to the analysis of pressure fluctuations induced by a propeller on the hull plate are presented and discussed. The interplay between hydroacoustic models described here and hydrodynamic models developed in Task "Sublotto C.1" is clarified. The coupling between hydrodynamic and hydroacoustic models is also described and procedures to exchange hydrodynamic data as input for hydroacoustics calculations are outlined. Resulting hydrodynamics/hydroacoustics computational procedures are analysed with respect to notional case studies and the choice of the specific methodology used in the present study is motivated. Finally, results of computational studies on the reference hull-propeller configuration are presented and numerical predictions are compared to experimental data obtained from model tests carried on under "Lotto B" of the project.
