The present report is part of the technical documentation of the PRIAMO project(Propeller-Rudder Interaction Analysis and MOdelling) and is focused on the validation of a comprehensive hydrodynamics and hydroacustics modelling tool for the analysis of propeller/rudder interactions. To this aim, experimental measurements performed in the framework of the project, are used. Specifically, available data include time-averaged propeller thrust and torque, rudder loads and pressure distributions, rudder cavitation visualization and velocity fields measurements. The proposed approach has been proven to be fully adequate to describe the main features of propeller/rudder hydrodynamics and hydroacustics phenomena.

Abstract
The present report is part of the technical documentation of the PRIAMO project(Propeller-Rudder Interaction Analysis and MOdelling) and is focused on the validation of a comprehensive hydrodynamics and hydroacustics modelling tool for the analysis of propeller/rudder interactions. To this aim, experimental measurements performed in the framework of the project, are used. Specifically, available data include time-averaged propeller thrust and torque, rudder loads and pressure distributions, rudder cavitation visualization and velocity fields measurements. The proposed approach has been proven to be fully adequate to describe the main features of propeller/rudder hydrodynamics and hydroacustics phenomena.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
