Giorgio Levi Della Vida (1886-1967) was a prominent scholar of Oriental studies and historian of religions of the twentieth century in Italy. He is also remembered for being one of the few academics who refused to pledge allegiance to Fascism in 1931. This anthology presents the articles that Levi Della Vida wrote in 1921-1922 for newspapers and magazines such as <<Il Paese>>, <<La Stampa>>, <<Conscientia>>, <<La Cultura>>, <<Il Mondo>>. In these articles, Levi Della Vida focuses on European politics in the aftermath of the Treaty of Versailles, the crisis of the institutions of the liberal Italian State, the rise of fascism, the role of science and culture in civic life.
