D5.2 Method and Tools for Green Factory Planning

Summary: D5.2 summarizes the set of methods and tools developed within WP5 in order to support the eco-efficient factory planning. This main aim is to help practitioners (i.e. factory planners) properly address relevant challenges for eco-efficient factories, by providing them with a factory planning process. This process describes the activities and links the relevant tools needed for eco-efficient factories, namely Target Definition, Decision Making Tool, Total Factory Simulation, Life-Cycle-Evaluation, Green Layout Planning and Integrated Layer Evaluation. This deliverable focuses on the main challenges for eco-efficient factory from planning perspective and shows the usability of the developed tools in practice. Guidelines and challenges learned from the development of this eco-efficient factory planning activities are given at the end.
