Human Mobility. Migration from a European and African Viewpoint, is a collection of contributions promoted by three researchers involved in the "Progetto Migrazioni" implemented by the Department of Humanities and Social Science, Cultural Heritage of the National Research Council of Italy. Migration flows cannot be studied as a phenomenon to be governed only numerically. The migrants, people who decide to leave their country, or forced to do so be emergency situations, require careful answers. The book bring together scholars interested in reading the migration phenomenon using tools that come from law, economics, anthropology. Moreover, the perspective of migration viewed from the South is a value added to the book. The volume is not, however a point of arrival, but rather a starting point for further research.
