D6.1 Retrofit guidelines to adapt existing factories into eco-factories

Summary: Major content of the present Deliverable 6.1 is the description of the Lean and Green Factory Framework for a dedicated selection and application of Guidelines to implement improvement measures for increasing the eco-efficiency of existing factories. Basically, the framework is organized as an iterative process of acquiring information on the current situation of an existing factory through Lean and Green Monitoring based on a Measurement Strategy, the identification and selection of improvement potentials and guidelines to develop these potentials, as well as the implementation of Control Strategies for operating the considered factory in the state defined by the guideline application. Further, in the deliverable an outlook is given on how the approach will be included in Standardization Activities, and practical guidelines examples are included. Finally, a first case study on the application of the framework in an automotive application is described.
