First three volumes of a Corpus Borgiano that no less than 10, which will be collected in the Proceedings of all conferences organized by the National Committee "meetings of Study for the fifth centenary of Pope Alexander VI" in Rome during the Renaissance was the promoter. Through the contribution, as much as possible articulated, 41 specialists (Italians and foreigners) in different scientific areas, it is proposed a historiographical review of the pontificate of Pope Borgia and personal way of interpreting their age, starting with the precise choice that recognizes Rome, the seat of papal power but also political, social, economic and cultural self, a central role in the Europe of the end of the fifteenth century. Primi tre volumi di un Corpus Borgiano che ne prevede ben 10, nei quali saranno raccolti gli Atti di tutti i Convegni organizzati dal Comitato Nazionale "Incontri di Studio per il V centenario del pontificato di Alessandro VI" di cui Roma nel Rinascimento è stata promotrice. Attraverso il contributo, quanto più possibile articolato, di 41 specialisti (italiani e stranieri) di aree scientifiche diverse, si propone una revisione storiografica del pontificato di papa Borgia e del modo tutto personale di interpretare la propria epoca, partendo dalla scelta precisa che riconosce a Roma, sede del potere papale ma anche realtà politica, sociale, economica e culturale autonoma, un ruolo centrale nell'Europa di fine Quattrocento.
