The aim of this document is to describe HW/SW architectures and methodologies to perform low cost but effective production tests of wireless devices. Low cost means that expensive test instruments are not considered or only partially mentioned. Both Non-Link and Link based architectures are evaluated. The wireless standard adopted for this research is Bluetooth (BT). BT is a short range low cost wireless technology mainly adopted to replace cables. It has been selected as an example of a complete communication protocol standard for Personal Area Network applications with built-in self-discovery capabilities and self-testing features. Some PHY/MAC simulations and test examples are described. In addition, some very preliminary results about Long Term Evolution (LTE) tests are presented, too. LTE is very different with respect to BT, since it is a high complexity and demanding standard for cellular networks. A Link based HW/SW solution is analyzed and some results are presented.

Abstract
A Link based HW/SW solution is analyzed and some results are presented.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
