Semantics-based Social Media for the Shared Production Control and Collaborative Open Innovation (D5.4 - BIVEE FP7 EU project)

This document provides methodological and technological specifications of services for a semantics-based support to Social Media Contents management in the BIVEE Environment. These services, which are deployed as a part of the Production and Innovation Knowledge Repository (PIKR) are specifically for: Semantic Classification and Indexing of SMCs, User-content profiling, Ontology-based web crawling. In the context of the BIVEE Environment, these services have been introduced for supporting social interactions of the users, which happen mainly through the Shared Whiteboard, and monitoring and scouting innovation-related resources, which happen through the Innovation Observatory. Both the Shared Whiteboard and the Innovation Observatory are components of the Virtual Innovation Factory.
