Towing-tank resistance and experiments are presented for the 1:3 scale model of ultralight seaplane PrandtlPlane "IDINTOS", with CNR-INSEAN code C2573. The test programme represents a complete experimental task in which the hydrodynamic characteristics of the flying boat during take-off are determined. Two versions of the planing bottom are tested, with different longitudinal position of the first step. A specific test-rig was designed, and then developed during the test, by CNR-INSEAN in collaboration with the customer EDI, who took care of its development and implementation. In the Low Speed Tests the model is "free to trim", whereas in the High Speed Tests it is restrained from pitching, i.e. runs are performed at a fixed trim. Free to trim characteristics of the seaplane are determined below hump, while resistance and pitching moment characteristics in the planing region are plotted in contours maps up to the take-off.
Sono presentati i risultati delle prove di rimorchio in acqua calma eseguite sul modello in scala 1:3 di dell'idrovolante ultraleggero PrandtlPlane "IDINTOS" con codifica CNR-INSEAN C2573. Il programma prove tende a determinare le caratteristiche idrodinamiche del velivolo durante la fase di decollo, per due configurazioni del fondo planante, ottenute con altrettante posizioni longitudinali dello step principale. Per eseguire la sperimentazione il CNR-INSEAN ha progettato in collaborazione con il committente EDI, che ne ha curato sviluppo e realizzazione, uno specifico test-rig, successivamente messo a punto in corso prove. I test a bassa velocità, "Low Speed Tests", sono state eseguite sul modello libero sia nel moto verticale che nell'angolo d'assetto longitudinale. Quest'ultimo viene invece bloccato nelle prove ad alta velocità, "High Speed Tests". Nelle prime prove sono state dunque determinate le caratteristiche del velivolo nella fase di pre planata e gobba, così come è stato tracciato l'abaco completo nella fase di planata fino a poco prima del decollo.
