The aim of this thesis was the study and the optimization of TiO2 powders and films sensitization process by using organic dye N719. The optimum time o sensitization, absorbed dye amount and absorption phenomena were compared using UV-vis spectroscopy analysis. Using these results and indirect method to measure the films surface areas was developed and validated. Finally some cells, in which films were sensitized for different periods of time, were assembled and tested by using a solar simulator to define the correlation between sensitization time and cell efficiency.
