The deliverable D1.3 presents the results of task T1.4 that addressed the definition of a relevant set of industrial use-cases meant to validate the Virtual Factory Framework (VFF) approach over various industrial sectors. The purpose of this deliverable is to describe the overall framework of the VFF validation that aims at testing the key concepts and evaluating the advantages, benefits and achievements obtained by the research project (more information can be found in D1.1 and D1.2). In particular, four main validation scenarios and, within them, eight industrial cases have been defined and considered as a basis of a multidisciplinary concept proof.
