Task 1.2 in WP1 produced business cases and requirements from the information supplied by and gathered at the industrial partners. Task 2.1 started from those business cases descriptions and aimed at analysing in further detail those processes that are currently executed in collaboration or that in a future scenario could be executed in collaboration. The objective was to characterise in detail those processes. The processes related to value chains of the garment, shoes and machine-tools, performed in the six companies, were described and analysed according to a common method previously agreed. Project partners directly involved in the task focused on a set of processes particularly relevant concerning the interactions among business partners in each value chain. Results showed similarities and differences among processes executed in the different value chains, concerning both the outputs and the interactions. These were highlighted by a comparison of low level activities summarised in a table. In spite of the similarities in many high level processes, the comparison shows some important differences and show the importance of the analysis at the activities level. The detailed analysis of the case companies' business processes can be found in specific documents in annex to this deliverable.
