Net-Challenge - D5.3 Footwear Demonstrator

The Net-Challenge project defines a framework based on a set of methodology, reference processes and decision support tools to drive the creation and management of Business Communities, which in turn are the enabler for the formation of Virtual Organizations (Collaboration projects for the design and Manufacturing of Complex Products). The Demonstration phase of the Net-Challenge project was aimed to test and validate such a framework, applying it to real cases taken from the actual scenarios which characterize each of the involved industrial partners. This document describes the experience of the application to the specific business case of the footwear industry and the achieved results. The testing activity was organized moving from the actual cooperation needs and perspectives of the involved companies, which perfectly fit with the Net-Challenge rationales.
