The PED hazard classification for the MITICA Beam Line Components (BLCs) has been undertaken in order to assess the need to affix the CE marking on the BLCs assembly in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC [ 1 ] and the need to carry out periodic inspection of the assemblies in accordance with the Italian Ministerial Decree 329/04 [ 6 ] . This document can be considered as part of the Progress report T4.3/P 1 " Final Design Report of the MITICA Neutralizer and Electron Dump" [ 3 ].
