Final Design Report of the MITICA Neutraliser and Electron Dump

This document presents the analyses and verifications undertaken for the preparation of the Final Design Review (FDR) and the subsequent discussion of FDR chits for the Neutraliser and Electron Dump (NED) operating in MITICA and ITER N eutral B eam I njector s. Preparatory and general analyses (A appendixes for system level analyses) were carried out to obtain local boundary conditions to be applied on analyses for sub - assemblies or for the integrated NED model; then analyses were car ried out (B appendixes) to verify both thermal limits and monotonic/cyclic damage. Specific parts of the report are dedicated to the NED assembly, maintenance and testing. All references to reports on analysis and verification are addressed by this master document.
