Final Design report of the MITICA Electrostatic Residual Ion Dump

This document presents the analyses and verifications undertaken for the preparation of the Final Design Review (FDR) and the subsequent discussion of FDR chits for the Electrostatic Residual Ion Dump (ERID) operating in MITICA and ITER NBIs. Preparatory and general analyses (A appendixes for system level analyses) were carried out to obtain local boundary conditions to be applied on analyses for sub-assemblies or for the integrated ERID model; then , analyses were carried out (B appendixes) to verify both thermal limits and monotonic/cyclic damage. All references to reports on analysis and verification are addressed by this master document.
